Saint Augustine offers an abundance of saltwater and freshwater fishing. The saltwater angler will enjoy our winter with Grouper, Snapper Trout and Wahoo available all winter long... The long summer allows daily catch limits on Cobia, Dolphin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Flounder, Triggerfish, Marlin, Barracuda and many more species.
With local reefs beginning just 9 miles offshore, wreck fishing is some of the best on the East Coast. Matanzas Inlet located at the south end of Anastasia Island is the last natural inlet in the South. Here you will find the best Surf Fishing and Bridge fishing.
You can even drive on our beaches, so no need to drag your gear around. St. Augustine also has opportunities with brackish and fresh water with the nearby St. Johns River. There are many boat ramps nearby and The Ocean gallery has made special arrangements for you to store your boat in a secured environment only a few hundred yards away.
